New emails come to our system from various sources:
- email collectors or intelligent site collector;
- manual input of emails from users;
- import users within dashboard;
- through the API
By default, new emails entering the system do not get any extra information or subscription status, if you do not pass those attributes along with the emails.
Default values for user attributes can be set under Users > Settings > Opt In
Here you can automatically set values for attributes or tags for new emails. You can not automatically subscribe every user to a list, because of the risk associated with bots, GDPR and current laws.
Subscribe only customers
If you want to automatically subscribe your customers when they purchase from you, check the following option. It will automatically subscribe the user and set source=”auto_sub”.
