When an invoice is created, manual or automated for one of your customers, it gets a status “draft” .
To make it visible under each account billing section, in order to be paid, you need to send it. This action will update the status to “sent” and will be visible in your customer account, and also can be paid online (if you configured your online payments).
If you configured Braintree Online Payments, your customers can pay invoices online by card or using Paypal. Online cards are preferred, because this will enable our auto-charge system to request money automatically from the saved credit card.
How it works?
When one of your customers successfully pays an online invoice by CreditCard, his credentials are saved in Braintree Vault (note that we do not store any card information).
Having card information saved in the Vault will allow for next invoices to be paid automatically.
